Krzywy Domek
Krzywy Domek is a building with an unusual shape that we can see in the city of Sopot in Poland. It has 4,000 m2 and its use is mainly as a commercial center. The architects Szotyńscy and Zaleski were inspired by the fairy tale illustrations of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg. The name means "crooked house".
Casa do Penedo
The second of these strange houses is the Casa do Penedo and is located between Celorico de Basto and Fafe, in the north of Portugal. It is built starting from four large rocks that serve as a base. It was built between 1972 and 1974 and its architect was an engineer from Guimaraes who used it as a second home. Years later it happened to become a small museum.

This magnificent building located on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona is the work of the great architect Antonio Gaudí . From the beginning it was conceived as residential. It was built between 1906 and 1910 and also receives the name of Casa Milá since it was commissioned by Pedro Milá y Camps. It's not just one of the strange houses that you can see in the world, is really a work of art. If you visit Barcelona, it is worth visiting.
Kansas city public library
The Central Library in Kansas City, Missouri, offers on one of its facades a completely unusual but suggestive aspect. It is designed in the form of books, specifically 22 spines of volumes chosen by Kansas City readers. It was built in 2004.
Kubus woningen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
The " cube houses " They were designed by the architect Piet Blom in 1984 and they are in Rotterdam. They are really one of the world's rarest houses or . The architect turned the normal cubic structure of a house 45º and placed it on a pillar in a hexagonal manner. There are 32 cubes used as a habitual residence.
Wonderworks (Pigeon Forge, TN, USA)
The Wonderworks house is not unique. There are 5 in the USA and they are dedicated to exhibitions and shows related to science and magic. They were designed by Terry O. Nichoson and represent a building as if it had been torn off the ground by some meteorological phenomenon and fallen face down.

Casa Nautilus, Naucalpán de Juárez in Mexico
The first of these exotic houses is the Nautilus House near Mexico City. It is inspired by a seashell and is the work of architect Javier Senosiain de Arquitectura Orgánica. He built it between 2006 and 2007.
The Basket Building (Ohio, USA)
This basket-shaped building was the headquarters of the company "The Longaberger Company", which manufactured wicker baskets for decades. It was built in 1997 by the group of architects NBBJ.
Waldspirale - Darmstadt, Germany
Another of these strange houses dedicated to housing is in Darmstadt, Germany. It's the Waldspirale residential complex. Its name means "spiral forest" and its construction finished in the year 2000. It was designed by the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and the architect Heinz M. Springmann.
Le Palais Ideal, or the "Ideal Palace", is located in Hauterives, France
This curious construction is the work of one man: Ferdinand Cheval. This French postman started the construction of his "Ideal Palace" in 1879 and spent 33 years building it.

The Neverwas Haul (California, U.S.A.)
It is a Victorian house vehicle inspired by the fantastic stories of Jules Verne and HG Wells. It was built by a team of volunteers from the Shipyard art space in Berkeley, California, in 2006.
Upside Down House (Szymbark, Poland)
The house was built in 2007, designed by Polish businessman and philanthropist Daniel Czapiewski. As it was the other way around, it took 5 times longer than usual to build it. It is currently a tourist attraction and people take it curious photos .
Palais Builles (Cannes, France)
It was designed by the Hungarian architect Antti Lovag and was built between 1975 and 1989. It was bought by the fashion designer Pierre Cardin as a holiday home.
